This is the most popular hangout for the locals in Darwin. Just a short drive from the city, this reservation offers barbecue and picnic facilities, beaches, and a completely unAmerican feature: free parking.
I remember one tourist brochure describes sunsets at Eastpoint--in the typical touristy exaggeration--as a "million-dollar view".

another totally alien concept Americans will find very hard to imagine: beautiful beaches stretching for miles that are open to the public but seemingly unadulterated by human presence
